GLASS AND TENT DOMES

The size of the dome is limited only by the limits of budget and imagination.

If possible, the glass dome should be washed at least once a year. The wooden frame should be oiled once every 2 years.

Glass dome with metal frame:

Galvanized metal. We use water-based emulsifier, alkaline cleaner (PH12) and organic solvents for cleaning. After cleaning, rinse the galvanized metal with fresh water and wipe thoroughly with a soft cloth.

Aluminum profile. A special mixture of vinegar and warm water is perfect for cleaning this metal. Wet a non-scratch cloth in this mixture and gently wipe the aluminum surface. Cleaning with this mixture makes aluminum shine and renews this metal.

Stainless steel. This metal should always be cleaned along the direction of polishing of the structure, not across. We clean the sources of oxidation, fingerprints and other marks with soapy water or a special mild detergent and a soft cloth (suede is perfect).

Glass dome with wood frame:

The strength of beech wood is equal to that of oak. It is probably the most durable wood on the market, with an extremely strong surface. No special maintenance is required, but in order to keep the dome made of beech wood clean and attractive to the eye, we recommend cleaning it with a special mixture of vinegar and olive oil, and using a soft, lint-free cloth for cleaning and drying. A mixture of vinegar and olive oil gives beech wood a natural shine.

Organic glass maintenance
The first stage of washing polycarbonate is rinsing with lukewarm water. After that, we repeatedly wash with a mixture of mild soap and lukewarm water. It is not advisable to use brushes for driving the glass dome – they can scratch the surface.

COSMO DOME recommends cleaning this glass with a soft, soft cloth or sponge. After the procedure, it is advisable to wash and dry the soft material with a cloth to avoid water stains.

Maintenance of tempered glass
We recommend cleaning tempered glass with mild soap and lukewarm water. For optimal results, it is advisable to use a clean, soft cloth.

After the procedure, we repeatedly wash with clean water and dry with a damp cloth or towel. We use warm water and a soft cloth to remove minor scratches and dirt from the bases and connectors.

Inner textile care
We recommend not cleaning the fabric or using a vacuum attachment with a rotating brush. To wash textiles, we use a mixture of mild soap and lukewarm water and a soft fabric cloth or a soft bristle brush. Wipe the surface with a clean, dry cloth before it dries. This ensures that there are no residues and the desired result is achieved – textiles that are clean and smell fresh in the morning.

Terrace maintenance
We recommend using the Danish “WOCA EXTERIOR WOOD CLEANER” for cleaning wooden terraces. This product is specially designed to remove dirt without damaging the oil that the wood is lubricated with.

Using the right product to clean the terrace can delay the re-oiling of the wooden surface. COSMO DOME also recommends a mild oil soap called WOCA Exterior Wash-in Oil. This product simultaneously cleans, lubricates and protects the surface. During cleaning, this soap saturates the wood with additional nutrients and provides it with additional protection.

Maintenance of glass dome reinforcement/connection points
We recommend to regularly check and strengthen the connection points. We recommend repeating this procedure once a year.

Awning maintenance
Transparent and colored PVC tarpaulin is a very easy-to-maintain material. It does not require expensive dry cleaning to wash it.
It is worth noting that regular washing of the transparent PVC awning ensures the durability of the material, the feeling of cleanliness and coziness.

Brushes are not suitable for cleaning the dome, as they can leave stains and scratch the surface of the awning. To ensure optimal results, we use a smooth surface, a soft (soft) microfiber cloth or a soft sponge and a stream of water.

For best results, we recommend using Vuplex plastic surface care. Why do we recommend Vuplex?

Due to its composition, Vuplex creates an antistatic field on the surface. This protects the surface more from dust and other dirt.
The product covers the surface with a protective film that protects against water and repels water from the surface of the PVC tarpaulin.
Masks and polishes minor scratches.

Vuplex does not contain alcohol, so the cleaner is gentle and does not damage surfaces, protecting them from discoloration or fading.
VuPlex protects surfaces from the sun’s UV rays – from yellowing.
It is advisable to use it at an outdoor temperature not lower than + 5 C.”
